It was about three months ago when we recorded a CarStuff podcast all about woodie station wagons. And as you listen to that episode, I think our enthusiasm for classic "woodies" is clear -- whether it's a "true" woodie, or a woodie of the simulated woodgrain variety. But the reason for today's post is simple and straight to the point: Ever since that show aired, I've received a number of requests from our listeners for the link to the Audi A4 Allroad Black Forest Edition that I mentioned near the end of the show. So here it is: The Audi A4 Allroad Black Forest Edition by casey/artandcolour.
Just remember, at this point it's only a design concept from a graphic artist. So don't head over to your local Audi dealer looking to buy one -- not yet, anyway. But who knows? Maybe someone over at Audi HQ might see this woodie treatment and bring this modern version of a classic look back into the dealer showrooms.
In the meantime, you may want to have a look around the rest of the casey/artandcolour site. Scroll through the posts and you'll find several impressive, modern woodie concepts the artist has created, along with lots of other concept car ideas that you're sure to find interesting.
