High Speed Stuff Synopsis - Amphibious Cars and Best Selling Vehicles of 2008

Scott Benjamin

Listen to High Speed Stuff on iTunes

On Tuesday, we discussed amphibious cars. Vehicles that appear to be just as much at home on dry land as they are tooling around the lake. But are they really? Ben and I talk about some of the benefits and some of the downsides of owning an amphibious car. We even mentioned a car that takes this idea to the extreme -- the sQuba from Rinspeed. An underwater car inspired by a James Bond movie, "The Spy Who Loved Me." Cool stuff!

On Thursday, we really switched gears as we had a little talk about the best selling vehicles of 2008. Now, I don't want to give anything away, so let me just say that you'll probably be surprised by several of the vehicles that made the list for '08 -- I know I was and I think Ben was, too. I'd also be willing to bet that when next year rolls around, the list will be dramatically different. Guess we'll just have to wait to find out.

So, there it is. That's what's happening on the High Speed Stuff podcast this week. Why don't you head over to iTunes and give it a listen -- of course, don't forget to come back here to let us know what you think in the comment section below. Or if you'd rather send us an e-mail, you can do that, too. Ben usually reads the address at the end of each podcast.
